President - John Grimes
John Grimes is a native business owner who has used his resources for local outreach. He is a prominent member within the community and donates his free time to helping those in need. John is The Original Founder of The Forgotten Garden and has assembled our board members from within our surrounding communities. John spends his spare time with his children and his grandchildren. The reason behind The Forgotten Garden is to pass this nonprofit down to his kids, and their kids, to support his passion of helping those in need.
Vice President - Alyssa Warren
Alyssa Warren is a local member of the community who is passionate about helping those in need, and most values her time by assisting homeless individuals and families. She is currently attending college, receiving a double-major in business and human resources management, with a minor in entrepreneurship. Alyssa loves animals and donates a considerable amount of time to aiding lost dogs within the community as well.
Treasurer - Lil Esparza
Lil Esparza has been a member of the community for majority of her life and has owned numerous local businesses within the area. Lil is a bookkeeper by trade, and enjoys spending her free time with her partner, family, and friends. She volunteers her time with local organizations with her goal of helping the less fortunate.
Secretary - Erin Behnke
Erin Behnke is a marketing and advertising graduate from The University of Wisconsin Whitewater. She has a passion for sports, traveling, cooking, photography, art, and anything outdoors. She just recently moved to our area and is passionate about helping families within the community. Erin spends her free time with her two amazing children and is looking forward to the future opportunities to help people.

Laura Kingman - Board Member
Laura Kingman is a parent within the community and provides a great resource for potential families in need. She spends her free time with her husband and three children. Laura loves to donate her time to help people locally.
Miranda Beeding - Mental Health Liaison
Miranda Beeding is our mental health liaison, as well as a program coordinator at the local community’s coalition. She has spent her career in hospitality management and the mental health field aiding those in need of her support. Miranda currently studies psychology at Governors State University. She spends her free time with her husband who supports her passion of helping others.
Alicia Cutter - Founding Board Member
Alicia is a former mental health administrator within the special education department for the state of Illinois. She is currently enjoying her retirement and spending her new free time helping others within the community. Alicia and her husband spend time with their thirteen grandchildren and share their love of golfing, fishing, and spending quality time with family. Alicia has a degree in nursing and administration which helps with her passion of working with the public to increase community resources.
